I will not buy any used stuff again 2010-08-23 The phone was locked, and it does not work properly, the sound is poor and the net is poor as well
Thoroughly Disappointed 2010-08-04 I am very disappointed with the item I received. I chose a used iPhone from a seller called bellindagreen, who had posted her item to this page. Contrary to the implication, I received an iPhone 2G instead of the 3G advertised here, and the seller did not warn me of this. Also, upon receipt, I discovered that the phone had been deactivated, and was tied to a network (and I did not know which one, though assumed o2). So not only did I have to re-activate it (I had to hack it), but I then had to Jailbreak it, and then unlock it. This whole process took around 8 hours (I hit many roadblocks) - but I finally have a fully working iPhone (at least after I downgraded the operating system on it, as it would relock the phone after restart on newer operating systems). All in all, I have found the device itself to be more than satisfactory, with minimal scratches, as the seller indicated. Unfortunately, if anyone other than a Computing Science student had bought this item, they would have bought an unusable brick. I rate this 3 stars, as it was in good condition physically, and, once unlocked, was actually a decent phone. However, I will be sure to leave very negative feedback on the sellers profile when the option becomes available.
IPhone made me a technophobe 2010-07-24 Yesterday I received my new, stylish, eager anticipated I-Phone (the 3gs due to being dropped in price upon the arrival of the dodgy I4). Within 5 minutes it was up and running and within 10 minutes I wanted to destroy it! Frustrated the hell out of me. I build my own PCs and never have I been technically challenged in such a way that I knew if this was to remain my latest phone I would spend a significant length of the contract period paying £30 per month for nothing. I thought it would be easy to use, helpful, useful; instead it was difficult, unusable without researching vast ammounts of information before I make a call. By the way - how the hell do you delete tracks from the ipod section. I 'synch'ed the device with my newly installed I Tunes accound but transfered a load of tracks I didn't want - I could not delete any of them there is no delete button! Arrrghh! I do not want Abba on my Ipod / Iphone I want the Foos! I quickly realised that something had to give; that was the infernal Iphone or my sanity! My sanity won. The Iphone was quickly packed back into its packaging and returned to sender. I am very disapointed having sent it back as I was looking forward to it being a useful tool but there is no way I could have kept it in relatively good condition during the six month training scheme period I would have to go through. The whole process has, for the first time in my 37 years, made me feel a wee bit old and out of touch! So thus it begins, the beginning of the end, where machinery confuses me!
A brilliant handheld but a flawed phone 2010-07-10 Firstly let me say that I really LOVE the iphone as a general device. The range of apps are great and it rapidly replaces all your other gadgets (spirit level, guitar tuner, star atlas, PSP)...all that is except for my phone. In the UK the signal is bearable but if you travel a lot then then the iphone is a bit of a problem. It takes at least 30 mins to get a signal after getting off a plane and sometimes I have waited for over an hour. It's a shame Apple dont spend enough time on the bugs that are fundamental to the actual device....as one other reviewer wrote this is basically an Ipod not an iPhone.
This is ipod, not iphone !! 2010-06-27 Thinking this is used item, I can accept those the battery doesn't long and many scratches in the back, but I cannot accept this has the signal of "no service" or only 1~2 bars in the most of places !!! I'm living in the big city of course. I cannot use this as phone, just using as ipod. I will never buy used electronic item again.
